Limapuluh kota – The Payakumbuh-Lintau road has claimed victims once again , The incident began when a Mio scooter, driven by NASRUN with YUSRIATI as a passenger, was traveling in the left lane from the direction of Payakumbuh towards Lintau on Sunday, 8/3/25, at approximately 10:00 AM Western Indonesia Time. The accident occurred on the Payakumbuh-Lintau road in the Kenagarian of Labuah Gunuang, Lareh Sago Halaban District, Lima Puluh Kota Regency, West Sumatra Province.
According to data received by our media team, there was ongoing road repair at the scene, with alternating traffic flow. As NASRUN was passing through the area, a truck approached from the opposite direction. Startled, NASRUN swerved to the left, lost control of the scooter, and fell into a ravine on the side of the road.
When we confirmed with the Head of the Payakumbuh Police Traffic Unit, ACP Yuliarman, he stated, “We can confirm this incident occurred.”
He added that as a result of the accident, the scooter’s driver, NASRUN, suffered an impact to the neck and bruising on his legs and hands. The passenger, YUSRIATI, sustained fractures to her right and left arms, a laceration on the left side of her abdomen, and a laceration on her forehead. They were taken to the Dr. Adnaan WD Regional General Hospital in Payakumbuh for medical treatment. The estimated material damages amount to Rp. 1,000,000 (one million rupiah).
