Baringin Nagari to Counter LGBT Through Public Education and Agency Collaboration

Tanah Datar : The 2025 Nagari Deliberation (Musang) was held at the hall of the Baringin Nagari Head’s office on Monday, July 28, 2025. The deliberation was attended by the Head of the Lima Kaum Sub-district and related local government agencies. The meeting was led directly by Nagari Head Rahmat Aulia Dt Peto Kayo accompanied by Yohanes from the BPRN (Nagari Consultative Council).

In his remarks as the chairman of the Deliberation’s organizing committee, BPRN Chairman Yohanes stated, “Thank you to the community, the Local Government Agencies, the Village Assistance Experts, the youth, representatives from the Farmer’s Groups, and all distinguished guests and attendees.”

He continued, “With all of us present, we can work together for the future development of our nagari. The Nagari Deliberation is a consultation between the community, the BPRN, and the nagari government to plan for the future. By reciting Bismillah, we hereby declare this event open.”

Echoing these sentiments, the Head of Baringin Nagari, Rahmat Aulia Dt Peto Kayo, said in his address to the forum, “I would like to welcome the Director of the Tirta Alami Regional Water Company (PDAM) and the Head of the Lima Kaum Sub-district, Ikhrar Palepi, to Nagari Baringin

“In this deliberation, I remind the community to always supervise our children in their social lives, due to the recent rise in prevalence of LGBT issues. We will conduct public awareness campaigns for the community by collaborating with related government agencies, such as the Department of Social Services, the National Police, and others.”
