Payakumbuh: The Payakumbuh Branch of the Social Security Administrator for Health (BPJS Kesehatan) held a media gathering with dozens of journalists from the City of Payakumbuh and the Regency of Limapuluh Kota on Monday (7/28) at a hotel in the Sarilamak area, Harau.
This event was held to strengthen the synergy between BPJS Kesehatan and the media in disseminating accurate information about the National Health Insurance (JKN) Program to the public.
“BPJS Kesehatan cannot walk alone. Collaboration with the media is crucial to expand the reach of information and build public understanding of the benefits and procedures of JKN services,” said the Head of the Payakumbuh Branch of BPJS Kesehatan, Defiyanna Sayodase, in her remarks.
According to her, the media acts as a spearhead in delivering educational public messages. With precise and comprehensive information, she hopes the public can optimally utilize JKN services.
“Through this forum, we are also conveying the latest information and opening a space for discussion and feedback from the media,” said Defiyanna.
On that occasion, she also encouraged JKN participants, especially those in the Non-Wage Earner (PBPU) or independent participant category, to actively pay their overdue contributions to avoid obstacles when needing healthcare services.
“If contributions are in arrears, it will automatically become a problem when patients need hospital services. Therefore, we encourage participants to immediately settle their arrears through the REHAB program,” she explained.
The REHAB program is an installment plan for overdue contributions that can be accessed through the Mobile JKN application or directly at a BPJS Kesehatan office.
Defiyanna revealed that as of July 2025, the total overdue contributions from independent participants in the three working areas of the Payakumbuh Branch reached Rp66.5 billion. The breakdown is Rp32.7 billion in Tanah Datar Regency, Rp26.2 billion in Limapuluh Kota Regency, and Rp7.5 billion in the City of Payakumbuh.
The event was also attended by a lineup of internal BPJS Kesehatan officials, including Andika Pernando (Acting Head of HR and General Affairs), Israd Akbar (Head of the Membership Division), Dwi Rizqi Anastasia (Head of the Financial Planning and Audit Division), and the Head of the Tanah Datar BPJS Office, Syafrudin. From the local government, the Head of Public Relations for the Payakumbuh City Government, Syaftianto, and the Head of Public Relations for the Limapuluh Kota Regency Government, Joni Indra, were also present.
